OK, I think I'll start with that.

Yeah, as long as someone volunteers to do it, I'm happy to merge their
patches in and ask Jim to give them CVS access.

No worries. I just want to release on a more regular schedule, no matter
how much work was done, to make sure people get their fixes from
officially released versions, rather than having to rely on CVS head for
that.
