[kaffe] Evaluating VMs

Hello!

I am currently evaluating the Kaffe virtual machine according to a
number of parameters/functions.
I didn't find the following issues in the documentation, so I kindly ask
you for support:

*) which thread synchronization primitives are there?
*) which IPC mechanisms are available (semaphores, queues, pipes, ...)?
*) support for filesystems?
*) timer functions like alarm() etc.?
*) is there an event mechanism?
