[kaffe] configure errors on NetBSD 3.0

I am trying to build the 1.1.7 release code on my NetBSD box. I am 
running NetBSD 3.0 i386.
The errors I get are shown below.
I imagine that this must be something for which some useful configure 
flag exists but I don't know which, if any, to use to resolve this.
Should I be specifying a different threads packge? If so, which one is 
usually chosen for my platform?
