Yeah. The issue there is essentially that without running the boehm 
configure script, make distcheck with break badly, since the make dist 
for the boehm subdir will create a broken tarball. Unfortunately, the 
boehm-gc is not as widely ported as kaffe, so there are always going to 
be platforms where it won't work, I fear. Therefor I added the configure 
switch.
