When correctly installed, you just need a classis   "java Sample" to run a 
Sample.class setted in the current directory.

So what I am thinking is you must have not set your installation directory 
the correct way.
I meant that when cross compiling your kaffe in antoher linux machine, you 
have to configure the toolchain with an installation path. I propose using 
/tmp/arm-kaffe as a target dir because it is the best way to set it into the 
gumstix.

So that on your host linux machine you configure it that way, do a make and  
a make install
thereafter you download what has been installed in your /tmp/arm-kaffe from 
your linux host machine to your target gumstix.

That way, all the path setting will be ok in the kaffe installation because 
all these are set in absolute form.

Hi Patt,

I'm giving up for tonight. I've managed to get 1.1.4 compiling but
something is obviously wrong because when trying to run any code I'm
getting an internal error/please check classpath. I'm pretty sure there is
no problem with the classpath so I'm guessing my problem lies elsewhere.
Does any of this sound familiar to you?

I did and it is working fine but the jit still not.
So using the interpreter mode of kaffe, we have now a full and quite
complexe application running on the gumstix using kaffe.

Hello all,

I've spent much of the day trying to cross compile Kaffe 1.1.4 on a
Gumstix (http://www.gumstix.com). Before I post specific questions about
the problems I encountered I was wondering if anyone has got this working
and released a binary? I think someone managed to get this working in
November.
