I have slightly different behavior, but the result (kjc is not useable)
is same. Let me investigate more...
By the way, my original intention for this attempt is to check the
difference for self/cross compilation, and my response may take
longer. The other intention is to check the difference for slink/potato
and woody, but anyway I first make some workable kaffe again :-)

Oh, does NetBSD/m68k have some problem? I have never tested kaffe for
this for the last 2 or 3 years...
As far as JIT3 is concerned, it is known issue. This is another thing
I have to tackle later.
