I've posted a patch to fix that specific problem of the Cygwin build here:
http://www.kaffe.org/pipermail/kaffe/2003-June/042567.html . In the meantime
I've checked in replacement functions for inet:ntop and intep_pton. So assuming
that the patch still applies to the latest sources from CVS, it would be nice
if you coudl give it a try and report back how it went.
