P.S. - libtool-1.5e/autoconf-2.53a/automake-1.6.2 compatible builds 
*should* properly build dll's.  You'll have to explicitly change AC_PREQ 
in configure.in(ac) to 2.50 for this to work.  Then rebuild the 
configure/Makefile.in's as you usually would.  IIRC, I had to do a 
little autoconf hacking to get it to start working this way, but I'm 
afraid my build died when trying to build the AW toolkit.
