By the by, getting JMF 2.1.1 to work on Kaffe requires some
security-hacks, but they're probably not worth it seeing as Kaffe lacks
sound-support etc. anyway. But running into extra exceptions is never
nice.

The serialization-code in Kaffe is quite spaghetty, and not up to much of
the specs anyway, it's hard to tell if the patch works just by
co-incidence or actually does the right thing. It would be nice to know if
there are plans to update the serialization code, implement sound support,
maybe work on security etc. as well as get any input on those and getting
JMF working on Kaffe in general.
