crash loading gcj stuff

 Hi Marcus,

Could you describe what you were trying to do?

Are you a "normal user" who was just tripped up by this?

Or are you a "alpha test power user" who wants to help testing gcj support?
If so, did you remember to run the fixup program in developers?

Could you give the gcc version (gcc -v), whether or not you have
libgcj installed on your system (try locate libgcj), what libraries
kaffe was linked against (try ldd ...../libexec/Kaffe)

What is your CLASSPATH? Your LD_LIBRARY_PATH? Your /etc/ld.so.conf?

How did you compile hello.so? Remember: you must compile it against
kaffe's Klasses.jar. Note: gcj does not support compressed jar files.
You need to unzip and rezip with -0 option for that to work.

Could you type "ldd hello.so" for me (this mustn't depend on libgcj.so!)

It would suck if RedHat Linux installation by virtue of including gcc
would lock you into using a particular run-time for compiled java code.
(I don't think that's the case here though)

What an intriguing stacktrace.
