OutOfMemory while throwing OutOfMemory while ...

 No, that's the "normal" behavior.
I'd suggest you track down why you run out of memory in jthread_init;
it seems kind of wrong.

There are some things we can do: one of them is to preallocate an
OOM exception object.  I have that in my version; hopefully, it'll make
it into kaffe some day.
