Thank you all, yes it was the mising ":", kaffe works now. I have
tested HelloWorldApp.java and it displays "Hello World!" (marvelous
:-}}}).
I can also compile with javac.
But I now have another problem with the Linux 2.0 installation :
It seems that I cannot view the applets by using "appletviewer". I have
the following output :
/web$ appletviewer ex.html
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no bissawt in shared library path

Nevertheless, I have installed the bissnet package. "biss.zip" is
effectively in /usr/local/share/kaffe/
Sorry :-(
>CLASSPATH=.:/usr/local/share/kaffe/classes.zip:/usr/local/share/kaffe/b
> iss.zip
> KAFFEHOME=/usr/local/share/kaffe
> LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib:LD_LIBRARY_PATH
> LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:LD_LIBRARY_PATH
> PATH=/usr/local/bin:$PATH
> export CLASSPATH KAFFEHOME
> export QTDIR PATH MANPATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH LIBRARY_PATH
This is my current configuration.
