Compiling OpenVM 1.0beta1 to OSF1

Hi all,
I'm trying to compile Kaffe OpenVM 1.0beta1
on DEC/OSF1 V3.2.
I'm getting the message:
"Don't know how to make OBJECT.LANG.REFLECT= .Stop"

Does anybody know how to rectify this?
