Why my kaffe is too slow

I have Linux-2.0.10 and Kaffe-0.9.1.
My problem is ,I can't succeed to get kaffe working more faster than
native java interpreter.
As well,it doesn't work with awt nor with biss.
So,what i'm doing wrong
