Kaffe-0.9.0,Linux and JDK-1.1

Hi,
I installed the new kaffe version (0.9.0) and jdk-1.1 for linux.
It works bad.First of all,native jvm from SUN works faster,then kaffe
(!!!).
Appletviewer not working at all,eventhough it wasn't working with
kaffe-0.8.1 as well.
So,what's wrong ?
