kaffe & biss & IFC ?

Has anybody tried Netscape's IFC with kaffe & biss ?

Recent version of IFC need JDK 1.1, but as far as I remember, the  
prereleases of IFC 1.0 (e.g. cesium) worked with JDK 1.0. I tried to run  
some examples with appletviewer. appletviewer always opens a window, then  
issues an error message (aargh, I don't have it at hand), continues to  
run, but the window stays blank. Yet it seems to work somehow: With one  
example I managed to hit a text field on the blank window, and was able to  
enter and edit text.

I just want to hear if anybody else made experiences with the kaffe/biss & IFC.
