Nah, it was just sent out one broken email per checkin.  Somebody else 
was on a rampage.  :-)

I do like subversion - I've been using it for my own stuff for about a 
year.  But there is a lot of action in the area of BitKeeper-style 
replacements, which are less centralized, and might be more "fun" for 
decentralized Linux-style development (eg. people can make their own 
repositories, and do lots of experimental branch/forking).  I'm thinking 
of things like monotone, arch, git, bazaar-ng, mercurial, etc, etc, etc.

Decentralized development is very cool, but so is getting all the 
changes to flow back to a central repository where they can get merged 
back in.  It will be interesting to see how all this new stuff evolves 
over time.

The only real advantage that CVS has is that it is ancient, so everybody 
already has it.  I think I want to concentrate on moving stuff to the 
new server for now.
